Thanks :) What do you mean exactly about the screen? It's small, or doesn't have display?

Haha sorry, I suppose I should have been much clearer on the description as I didn't understand what people where talking about either before I got it in my hands.

Basically the screen is horribly low on pixel count, and the images are just washed out and desaturated looking. In terms of actual size it's fine at 2.5" considering before this I was using a D70 Nikon(2" or something along those lines) previous to my 7D as well, and the size was fine. But the image you are looking at is NOTHING like the image that you actually captured.

Essentially I use it as a histogram to show blown out highlights and clipped shadows...that's about as good as she gets.

With this being said do NOT let this be a deterrent to purchasing this camera....just remember years ago there were no screens and photographers seemed to still be able to manage to produce stellar images ;-)a

indeed, I won't hesitate shooting ISO800/1600 with my 5D, it's definitely a huge advantage over a crop camera. But sometimes I wish it could do (native) ISO3200.. how I wish that Canon would announce the 5D3, I have no trouble upgrading to a cheap 5d2 then.

I was planning on waiting for the 5D3 so that I could buy a cheaper 5D2, but it's like waiting for a unicorn to show up in my backyard :(
Of course the 5Dc is by no means a downgrade, especially after using the XSi for two years.

Also, I really like that second shot! The grass adds a nice touch :)

thanks! yeah, IQ wise there's nothing to complain about the 5D, I do however miss having liveview sometimes, but I wouldn't pay twice the money to upgrade to the 5dm2. I might end up picking up the Fuji X100 instead (for travelling, hiking, street - don't want to lug around a big bulky dslr with me all the time)
