Thanks :) Early may you say? Weather's awfully hot here right now!

It's generally alright for someone who "looks like a foreigner" to photograph generally, but specifics such as going close to people and being a public nuisance to them, or stuff like security cameras or personnel are frowned upon.

There's a quiet local forum for photography related stuff where I asked (as username Zman) a legal consultant about shooting in public / private places. You can check it out here:

Short holiday in Morocco, and took only one lens with me. It served me well.

Love the texture of the sand Kenny. Wish it were closer to the foreground!

I bought a new camera. It's very advanced - you don't even need it. ~Steven Wright

Thanks guys. I feel I was restricted by conditions, the fact I brought no tripod, and felt uncomfortable bringing my beloved TSE 24L II and 85L II.

Snapshots or not, the 35L proved to be a faithful companion. :)

Such wonderful pictures in this thread!

I am seriously thinking about buying this lens for my 5D2, and use it as my walk around lens, and designated travel lens. But I am also thinking about the 24 f/1.4 L, and I can't really decide between these two.

Have anyone of you tried the 24L before you bought the 35L? What made you decide?

35L all the way! Seriously, I think it is a much more useful focal length.

Ha! Actually you KNOW it's my favorite! :) I would have taken it but I wanted to travel really light, needed AF, and the desert is hard on lenses.
