Yep, I love my 24, but 35 is more of a general purpose focal length.

on a full frame camera, the 35l is an amazing walkaround lens, and i would consider the 24l ii, with significant perspective distortion, to be more of a special purpose lens. on a crop sensor, i think the 24l ii is a fantastic everyday lens.

24L is great when you need it. 35L or 50L is a all purpose
