Do the betteries allow your camera sense the battery strength?

one thing I noticed with the aftermarket ones I think I had maximal power or whatever they are when I was in yellowstone earlier this year on my 7D with the battery grip with both batteries the canon lasted far longer and the aftermarket was brand new

if I recall the canon was dropping down to around 75 per day and the aftermarket was in the 50's it was colder than crap so maybe thats why, one day it was -36part of the day the next day it was -38

I changed the positions of the batteries around the different days, 5 days I monitored it and it was the same thing everyday

but then again the price is way different as well :)

Ha ha, exactly what I was thinking!

While I have heard great things about Sterlingtek over the years, I personally stick to only Canon brand batteries in my cameras.

Haha.. You guys ever watch snl? YouTube Debbie the downer.

I thought it was pretty awesome- ordered and got it 10am next morning, free shipping. It's both- retailer to process the order quickly and ship out and the carrier to get it here. It shipped from within US, so no 2 wk shipping from Hong kong nonsense.

These work great and are "chipped" to work with my 5d2's battery health meter. I highly recommend, for those interested. Was out for a couple hours after to shoot downtown- perfect. I'll test their life this sat at corona del mar for an engagement shoot
