Shooting my first wedding in August for a "friend of a friend". It will be a low key affair, but to keep it all neat and tidy, I have explained that I expect a signed contract.

But I don't have one.

Anyone point me to a simple US contract to keep everything above board?

Thanks!

I was in the same boat as you. I found these and picked #3. Good luck!

This is a great option as well. I use this and I know many others who have used this as well. http://photographerstoolkit.com/wedding-photography-contract (external link)

Either of these. They're worth what you pay.

There is a book on the market that I picked up a few years ago called "Wedding and Portrait Photographers' Legal Handbook and it is a great tool for the types of information you are seeking. It is authored by Norman Phillips and Christopher S. Nudo, Esq. and published by Amherst Media. Great little tool and I would think it could be picked up for little as nothing used from some of the online auction sites.

It has all types of contracts contained inside of it including dozens of sample forms and contracts you can modify to meet your needs.
