3D = a mythical full frame from canon

Canon can not bring out a camera called the 3D.
There will be to many people looking at the pictures with weird glasses and complaining about only seeing 2 dimensions,

i still truly believe after everyone gets the home movie thing out of their systems their will be limited demand for it

i wouldn't even know how to turn it on with the mk4 and i haven't even looked

I don't know... I don't think video is going anywhere anytime soon.

Especially with how popular 5D and 7D's are with professionals when they are going for that certain look that DSLR's provide so well.

All I know is Canon better add auto focus to video like Nikon does...

i don't care if it's there, but it would be nice if the higher end cameras carried it

and you could catch a break on the cameras that didn't have the feature like a 3D and 5d

It's just not going to happen... they offer video in almost every single camera they put out, that's point and shoots and DSLR's.

They even released some new video features on the T3's, so I'd expect those to all work their way up.

I can't imagine it takes much to enable video recording on current cameras with how much power they have, so if they did offer one without video the price difference would probably be pretty small.

I think with marketing they could easily have a video/no-video versions at different price points.

Hopefully its better. Nikons AF is there but thats about it. I would still pre MF on nikon cameras as the AF still isnt usable.

I just don't see that happening, it will crowd the market too much, I mean it's doable, I just don't really see the point.

Now it makes more sense on say the 1D line, there is more room for more models, but since I can't imagine the cost for Canon is much different, why offer a video version with a larger profit margin and a non video one with a smaller margin.

I honestly see many people pushing for the video version. I just want a none video version for less ;)

Nikon video AF = Canon video AF aka both suck

Yeah... so do I, my 7D does video and I don't really need more than one camera that does video. A cheaper video-less full frame would be sweet, I just don't see it happening :p

As for the AF, yeah... it doesn't have to be great, a little assistance would be useful though.
