They said no multiple times and it might still even be up in their FAQ so i wouldn't wait too long.

I'm sure they considered it and had some sort of major drawback or something that made them drop it indefinitely.

A lot of the higher end bodies are made of magnesium, while the lower (and sd-using) bodies are made of plastic. Wifi signals don't travel as well through metal.

Yeah, I just can't understand what the hesitation is about. It might be signal reception, but I've used the old eye-fi card in a CF adapter, just fine in my 5D2... so I don't think that's really the problem.

Ya, that seems like BS to me. especialliy for the Direct Mode where you're just transmitting to an IPAD or smartphone which will be in your backpack or pocket right next to you.
