Most of the "film look" processes I've seen remind me of photos that have been hung in the sun too long, or bad automated processing,
Photos that have set so long in the shoe box that the chemical residue has caused the colors to fade and bleed.
As an old time film photographer, it really angered me to get off-color photos back from the photo hut.
That's why we either processed our own or went to a pro lab to get the color correct and finish the processing properly.

Good luck on your search.

lol, too funny!

Like the lomo effect, I played with that a bit, and it just seems like a high contrast low saturation shot for the most part (to my untrained eye), I can take shots like that all day if I am not careful with my settings and picture styles.

I guess the current generation, that never saw a roll of film, is trying for the nostalgic look..... like they just discovered/invented it. This is not a nostalgic look. It is photography gone wrong :-)

Unfortunately I've seen very little that I think can benefit from this type of look. It appears that the vast majority is just the look and no substance. Of course this is just my opinion.

Yeah, but that doesn't count TS because you didn't accidently stuff it up or do anything in post to achieve it.
It only counts if you have to PP it.

Or run back, screaming to the lab
"What do you mean? I used the wrong film!"
You're the lab...Fix It!

Dang, I am glad I shot very little film when I was younger. I would have been one of those people! :)
