My son has been doing jujitsu for about 6 months now. This is the 3rd time that I've shot him and finally have some that are half way decent.

I appreciate your critique and any feedback that you may have.

I'd rather see the intensity in your kid's eye as he salutes his opponent at the beginning of the match than his back.

On top of the points mentioned there is no actual dominance shown. It just looks like they're in the middle of a sweep? I'd try to get a shot of your son with somebody in a rear naked choke cropped in real tight or something more straight forward and in your face.

It's alright been mentioned, but for this type of shot faces/fronts are needed. In general for things like jiu-jitsu you almost always want to make sure to have a face (or front portion of the body) unless it's something more exception/dynamic. I'd also shoot with the framing a little less tight until you get to know the sport well enough to anticipate where it's going. Good efforts.

Would've liked to see a submission attempt or some other capture with some faces.
