...best I can tell from research this is a Tennessee Warbler (likely) or a Nashville (less likely) Warbler. Anybody confirm via a couple of not-so-good shots? Taken in NE Ohio this afternoon.

1. Warbler

Thanks Stump. 2 shots out of about 30. Another dreadfully dismal day here in NE Ohio. I need to move someplace warm where the sun shines!

Thank you. Very fast moving bird around the trees. Came in, ate for awhile then left. Read they move through here on the way to Canada breeding grounds. Pretty little guy. Glad to catch a picture of him.

Looking at my book, it looks to be a Nashville Warbler: it has a blue-gray head and yellow throat and at the top of the head it looks like a bit or color (possibly red). The Tennessee Warbler has a white throat. Those are the differences I see.

Here's a link to a Pbase site with all sorts of warblers, including those two. Take a look and see.

Dave,
Very nice... I have seen these here in recent years between now and May 18th or so as they migrate through... The only pictures I have ever gotten were up at the Old Route 250;s Eagle's nest... I believe this to also be a Nashville Warbler

Stand corrected! Indeed, Nashville Warbler looks to be the correct ID. Thanks!
