Im heading to China for two weeks and looking to rent some cool lenses for odd-ball shots.

If yu have a neat lens that you think may fit the bill, I might be interested in renting it from you for a bit.

Here's what Im looking for
- Any L series lenses
- Wide angle L - 24 or 35
- fish-eye
- anything else you think is cool.

The price is negotiable and I have a personal property insurance policy that is covering all my gear (and I would add your as well) would gurantee your equip is safe and nothing is damaged, lost, stolen, etc etc.

If your in DFW and interested let me know.

Thanks
PapaBear.

You'd be better heading to a local camera shop, they'll often rent out lenses.

I really can't see anyone taking you up on this generous offer, as there is relatively little in it for the owner, along with significant risk.

Yes I know local camera shops have this new invention called renting! Ive also been on lensrental.com but dont have time.

As far as your limited perspective goes there is money to gain and the risk is negilgible since the gear is insured both with collateral and with policy.

I really think it may be time to abandon ship.

You're going in 2 weeks and you don't have time ? Time for what ? Go on a website, a few clicks and you have your lenses. Doing it here seems to be a lot more involved and time consuming.

With all due respect, why would I send you a lens without any collateral unless you plan on offering that, such as depositing the replacement value of the lens in my Paypal account prior to me shipping the lens.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

+2 ^^^^^^^^^^ My L's are very selective about who they leave with. you would have insurance in your name, you leave, lose lens, you collect, you are not out and we have no recourse. Sounds like a VERY SILLY request.

Sorry, you're right.

I rent my lens collection at $10 per day. Send me $140 dollars, and I send you my lenses.
