explain the last sentence to me, confused, how does having 2 cameras solve the issue...

I shoot with a 70-200mm f/4L IS and a 17-55mm f/2.8 IS on a 40D and a 7D...

Using two cameras, I don't miss the 55-70mm gap but, I believe that I would miss that focal range gap if I were forced to shoot with a single camera...

I would be happy with a 21mm and a 100mm both Zeiss on a FF.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Something in the 24-70 / 28-75 range, and a 70-200. Ideally both with constant f/2.8.

Zoom - Crop 17-55 2.8 & 70-200 2.8

On a crop, 17-55 f/2.8 + 70-200 f/2.8 IS II.

For your T2i I think this is the best option. The 2 lenses I tend to use the most when using zooms with my 7D but I only have the mkI of the 70-200 f/2.8 IS.
