If you are having people speak on camera, better to use wireless laveliers.

Lavs yes however wireless is not really needed in most cases.

18-55IS, 28-105USM, 50 f/1.8, 60 f/2.8,
finally 70-200L f/4!!:cool:

so i bought a audio technica pro 88w.
hmm.. kind of strange that i still get the background noise :eek:(this being indoor)



18-55IS, 28-105USM, 50 f/1.8, 60 f/2.8,
finally 70-200L f/4!!:cool:

because it is an omnispherical design, you'll want to get it as close as possible to the speaker's mouth. This way, you get more signal (the talking) compared to the otherwise-constant noise floor (room noise, reverb, other sounds).

i'm actually surprised at the result after doing my project outside today, it was quite pleasant to hear :eek:. crisp and all

Simple rule of thumb (pardon the pun) with lavalieres is to spread your thumb and pinkie as far apart as they will go then place the thumb under the speakers chin and where the pinkie lands below is where the microphone should be clipped.

By the way did that kit come with a windscreen for the microphone? If not it would be a good idea to get some they help to as the name implies cut down on wind noise and just a tad on background noise.
