I'm inspired! I HATE self-portraits, but I think I could actually like something like this. Hope you don't mind, but I think I will flatter you by trying this myself. :D

More or less I felt the same when I bumped into this type of portrait manipulation. The same afternoon I tried it myself and this was the result. What I am trying to say is that I understand you completely, so please flatter me and respond with your effort.

I really like the concept, and I think you executed on the mouth flawlessly, but the eyes don't seem to match. Your right eye (photo left) looks open wider. It could be explained by the slight pressure of the hand on the other eye pushing it closed from the bottom, but it seems a tiny bit off. Overall I think it's really cool!

Very cool, but at the same time slightly disturbing. Nicely done.

I won't take this as mockery about my left eye... lol
In fact there are three photos used for this. The first one is my face with no hands involved, the second is the face with my right hand covering the mouth and the third is the face with my left hand covering the eye. Eyes and mouth are from the first (base) photo, completely unedited in terms of scaling and position. What I don't like is the shadow of the eye your are mentioning (maybe I should use additional lighting for this side) and the placement of the hand which should be higher, at a level that my palm covers the eye.

haha it was not meant as that. I really think it's great overall, that's the part that just sticks out a little. It might be that the blend isn't as smooth as it is at the bottom? I don't know, I couldn't reproduce it today, but I'll be trying.
