What's the CNPA meeting?

Carolinas Nature Photographers Association...

Have been invited to join up a few times, they seem to get together at various times and do things, sounds like fun.

Gotcha, my photography group is right here on POTN. And I seriously doubt they'd be inviting my abilities to that group!

I found a brochure for them at the local camera shop. Have never been so thought about checking them out. The website shows a pretty active calendar with workshops on the weekends and a monthly meeting downtown at the girl scout building. Website is cnpa.org then select Regions and Asheville.

I have bought and sold lenses locally from people that belong to the CNPA, they seem nice enough...I agree with Jenn though, my group is right here on POTN!

I was a member in the Triangle and it was worth it for the gallery show opportunities and getting in to shoot at new places. I just haven't been shooting nature much lately.

Interesting! Had no clue... Haven't been into the local camera shop in... well... ever... So wouldn't have seen that!

Thanks Julian!!! What group would that be? The I haven't posted any recent pictures of my new daughter on POTN group?? Or the My daughter has an infant carrier attached to her bottom like a turtle shell group?? I crack me up! *took opportunity to prod for new pictures of the newest Dizzle!* I'm just sayin!

I stopped in to look at ball head mounts. I want to upgrade the crappy head on my tripod then get a better set of legs later. Looking at pictures and reviews are nice but I really like to be able to mess with them before I decide. Unfortunately they where no help and I am still looking. O well.

Was a date for this get together ever decided? I'd like to come and the earlier I can plan the better my odds are.

To my knowledge we have not settled on a date...

I imagine if you come this direction, there are a couple of us who can meet up with some amount of flexibility... hehehe even if not for the GWNC Shootout.

No specific date, but the general time frame's somewhere between the 12th and 18th of July (16 and 17 being the weekend).

What about a zoo? We'd have to keep a close eye on Wool though they might want to put him in a habitat!
