That second one is a really telling photo. Didnt realize how diminutive the Spit was compared to some of the other warplanes, that warhawk looks like a beast in comparsion to the nimble little bird

I think it is one of the original ones, got it off ebay UK, got a few more including the Sherman Tank, Chipmunk. Will have to check that out. I remember buying the Airfix kits as a kid and when i got fed up with them i set light to them and threw them out of the upstairs windows, BF109 got 'em :-)

Just google earthed Biggin Hill and there is an Air Show on, Lots of Spits on the side plus the Red Arrows on the runway. Interesting :-)
