(Self facepalm...) Holly... I have known too many girls names Holly I guess. Then I see leafs...

(recovering from the facepalm - lol) The leafs in the center seem to be in focus. The highlights seem to be too blue...

I agree that the center is nice and crisp, but I'm just having a hard focusing on anything, TBH. The overall composition just seems so busy to me with all the greens and yellows clustered together. Maybe a bit less DOF, maybe a different angle, maybe concentrating on the red bud in the center of the cluster...just some ideas.

I think the reason I liked it was to do with the juxtaposition of the fiercly sharp leaves and tangled background and the soft delicate new leaves emerging.
This is probably me being soft and I guess it doesn't make a good photo.
Here is it cropped to show the soft new leaves.
