Not to sound snobby or anything but I'd only get the 1D2n or 1d3 next, something about the 1 series... Same here. The next body I'll get is probably the 1DIII when the price drops a bit more. I love the 1 series so much. α7R IV | Σ 24-70 f/2.8 | Σ 150-600 f/5-6.3 | Σ 14-24 f/2.8 | 1D MkIII | 430EX II | 24-70 f/2.8L | 70-200mm f/2.8L IS

I have gotten to the point where I am shooting anything and everything with my DSLR. I shot a wedding last weekend and ended up with 1100 shots. I managed to pick out about 600 shots that weren't duplicates and didn't look worthy of giving to the client. She was still overwhelmed by 600+ photos... as was I... Photographer

That guy's going to hardly to fit in a normal car boot either. And anyone who has such lavish funds will be in possession of a pro camera for each super i've just mentioned, and one or two more. That Sigma seems completely pointless It's good for portraits of yourself holding it....duh!

That Sigma seems completely pointless I'm surprised it's not seen at major sports such as football (American and English) or rugby, I would've thought a fast supertele zoom would be great for following the action. Having 3 bodies doesn't seem very practical, not only would you lose shots from switching between them you'd also have no in between so you may end up having to crop in post and lose resolution or even worse not get everything in the frame.

tonylong ...winded More info | Today there were a couple colorful little birds flitting around trees across the way from my deck, so I grabbed my "birding kit" -- the 1D3 with the 100-400 lens and a 1.4x TC and mounted it on my tripod so it could be ready and I sat here keeping my eye out. Someone on another thread asked me to post a cell phone shot of the rig but instead I grabbed my "non-bird kit" the 5DC, which was sitting mounted with the 16-35 so I decided to go wide: Tony

Haha yeah, years ago my xxDs got a lot of attention, but now everyone seems to have a Rebel (especially here, in Korea...I don't know why, but they all get Rebels with kit lenses)...and I agree...won't stop me from shooting! Plus, being a white guy, I get stared at/pointed at all the time anyways, so I rarely notice it anymore -=Prints For Sale at PIXELS=-

This is my third copy of it. It's just a wonderful camera. The file quality is just excellent. Very quick and responsive camera. If you think that's attention grabbing though. Just wait to see what I have coming in the mail ![]() I agree...for 5 years I wanted a 1-series (1D2, then the 1D3 came out)...I saved and saved and saved...and finally, I could afford one. It was a huge chunk of cash to throw down on a camera. It was the third biggest purchase Jericobot wrote in post #12394217 When I sold my 1D2 I thought I'd be content... yeah right. Not to sound snobby or anything but I'd only get the 1D2n or 1d3 next, something about the 1 series... I don't think it's snobby at all...I still like all cameras and still recommend Rebels and xxDs to my friends. I have nothing but great things to say about my 10/20/30Ds and I even liked my little XTi. I think they're capable cameras that are perfect for some people. However...I'll never not own a 1D again -=Prints For Sale at PIXELS=-

I was out with my 35mm camera yesterday and I started laughing while I was taking one of my shots because I noticed how much care I was taking in getting the best angle, lighting, etc for one exposure. Then I thought 'I'd never do this B.S. with my DSLR'. ![]() so true...I love the convenience of digital, but I do love the thought and effort that has to go into a film shot. Sometimes (when I'm back in Canada) I'll shoot for a week or two with film to get my mind out of the digital mode of thinking (shoot a lot now, decide which is worthy of keeping later)...I think it makes me a better photographer...but that's just me. -=Prints For Sale at PIXELS=-
