For me, I prefer #1.. something about the distribution of light. Speaking of which, how did you light this?

Fill behind camera (a large softbox) the main light on the same side of the face that the girl parts her hair on (a 24 x 36 softbox) a hair light above and behind her aimed down and forward (a 12 x 12 softbox) and a pattern projector off to one side projecting a steel Rosco pattern onto seamless paper.

Both are really nice. The gobo works better in the first than in the second. The lighting is really well done.

Great photo! I dont like the B/W one but thats just a matter of preference. The color one is very nice though I would have picked a different top to wear.

Hah! No I meant something less neck-plunging and I just don't like it because it looks like shes covering up with her arms instead, when she should just have worn something else that covered up. Weather or not that is the case, I don't know but thats just how I see it.

That aside, very nice photo in color and she looks great and the photo is well done.

No 1 is an absolute beauty. Not sure about number two. Appears a little too muted, and emotionless...JMHO. Would like to see more of the shoot tho...
