Awesome shots! The Mini looks as good as it sounds. The shot of Solberg pulling the Scandinavian flick into the left hander is fantastic!

Loved the whole set.

Fantastic set Rhodri! Looks like a fun place to shoot.

Cheers, if there's a better place to shoot Rallying anywhere in the world I'm all ears! Fantastic place.

Wow - now those are something every rally photographer should aspire too. Great photos. Love the colors in #2, and I didn't know minis could fly that high!

Cheers Dennis, that's very kind of you. Meeke was sensational over that jump, far higher than even Loeb and Solberg. Awesome committment! The BMW Mini team loved the shot when we showed them at the airport and asked us for copies, which made it all the more sweeter!

Thanks Alan!

Best I've seen in a very long time. Brilliant, just brilliant.

Thanks Simon, that certainly means alot coming from someone as respected as you.

Superb, seeing shots like that think i'll keep camera in the bag!!
The Mini and shot Solberg corner are just fantastic.

Kevin

Thanks Kevin, on the other hand mate I'd love it if these shots inspired you to get out there and shoot more rather than put the camera away!

Super dooper shots.
The clarity and sharpness, I hope you have more like this?
Loving the two Solberg photos and the mini look at it fly.

Cheers, yes there's plenty more shots, but had to choose 8 which hopefully gives a nice flavour of the event.

Great stuff, but 2 and 4 are really quintessential "Rally" shots to me :) Very well done here and your exposures are just dead nuts on...

Cheers!

My only "criticism" is that the Czech flag shot is a bit sacreligious with a Ford in it :p

Haha thanks Geoff, I was praying that either Martin Prokop or one of the Skoda S2000s would come through when that shot was taken, but unfortunately only Wilson and Hirvonen came through when he had the flag up!

Absolutely superb set of shots, great variety and fantastic colours, looked like you canned it there, thanks for sharing these

Thanks Mikey.

Fantastic shots Rhod and I would have to agree with you, great event, action on every stage and just a great place to take photos. I have added a few of my own.

Graham

Cheers Graham, I'm guessing you were one of the Irish lads standing behind us at the jump. I was wondering if any of you might have been on here.

Haha thanks, there were quite a few WRC photographers standing near us so I'm guessing that Pistonheads shot is one of theirs.

Fab Rhod ,brilliant action, though being honest I reckon a polarising filter would have helped,as exposures not as good as usual ,looking a tad under exposed ,but as you told me the 7D was misbehaving .
Incredible place to go and backdrops look amazing ,as do stages.

Cheers mate. If I told you that two of the pictures in that set were taken with a CPL, could you pick them out? All three of us gave up with them out there to be honest, the light was so good it just wasn't needed.

Not sure if I agree on the exposures being out either, they were all shot RAW and edited to get them just as I wanted. Think you're the only one that's said that!

Rhod

ps. Let me know how it goes at the BCCC, I might be able to make the Sunday depending on whether it's actually any good!

Thanks for all the nice comments guys, if I tell you that everyone else was perfectly straight over this lift that should tell you how his handling was. Only about 6 cars actually lifted any amount over this jump so that also tells you how hard he was pushing considering his puncture. Serious commitment.

Sorry Canonista misread your post, his landing was scary enough but i just had my head down and fingers crossed as I was still in shock at him appearing over the crest in that shape!

Amazing shots, taken at an equally amazing place.

I do hope the fact they won't return will only be a rumour!!

The rear puncture shot is great. The level of push these guys have. They keep going at 110% despite punctures. Just change their driving style a little and push on. True driving skill.
