Personally I'm not a fan of the effect it gives.

try doing that with lights at night...looks better IMO

If your not shooting or playing you're not learning. These shots lack the proper perspective at the time of the shot. 90 degrees or directly above would have given a better pull of colors in all these shots. Because of this the picture is to busy with its angles and lines all over the place.

It's a fun effect to play with You might try fixing this to a tripod and keep the subject in the center a little more in focus.
