UPS, fedex, USPS all suck at some point...at the end of the day, its the people who you deal with. If you have a dickhead delivery guy, then it doesnt matter what outfit he drives for.

ps. in my area, fedex sucks anus and UPS is actually pretty good.

Only an untrained eye can appreciate the sharpness of a lens...

^- thats pretty much it...

i use both and dont care which, the only one i dont like is USPS because they tend to maul packages and people who ship using them generally have no clue how to pack...But then again i use them for some things (usually things that cant be broken easily/arent very pricey)

I just ordered a lens from Adorama and while it was in transit I contacted UPS to try to have it held at the facility instead of being delivered to my house since it required a signature and I work. UPS told me the only way to have that done is to contact the seller .......

Do you need me to arrange that for you? If so, please do drop me an email: Helen@adorama.com (external link)

Adorama rocks!

Aside... hope the lens arrives soon. I know that feeling of frustration and despair. I'm sure B&H will get to the bottom of this... patience on a Sunday is key.

Best

This is why i'd rather buy from Adorama as opposed to B&H ;) When you have a problem, Helen comes in to take care of you

Was it an arrival scan or an out for delivery scan? Ups typically scans trucks not packages. Packages don't get scanned individually at every stop.

Wrong. I don't know about freight or feeders but we (package car drivers) scan every package we (UPS) deliver.
I didn't read through the entire thread, but if it doesn't say "out for delivery" then it's probably still in the hub.

It said out for delivery, so with what Stanjk3 mentioned I seriously think someone stole it. Anyway update, contacted BH and they are handling it. I won't have to pay shipping fees obviously. But looks like I may not have a lens until Fri I'm thinking when it is all said and done...GRRRRRR!!

It could have been loaded on the wrong truck, it happens. Though we're still supposed to scan every package even if we can't deliver it, so there should be some tracking info.

I think someone in UPS's NYC sorting facility is hooked up with all of those shady "brick and mortar" stores in brooklyn, queens, etc. I say this because the company I work for no longer ships ANYTHING via UPS to the New York area.

Sadly not every UPS employee is honest. If it was scanned into your local UPS was it scanned out for delivery. It should say out for delivery. If not has to be still in the local hub.

Like I said, doesn't mean it was on the right truck. Sometimes those small loading labels (forget the exact term offhand) you see on the box are put on the wrong box.
The OP should check the tracking info again tommorow morning to see if there's an update.
