After posting an angry message regarding B&H not having a price guarantee policy (they originally refused to match a lower BestBuy sales price just three days later, they called me back, on the phone, and refunded the $150 difference between what I paid to them for my 60D, and the current price at BestBuy.

Thank you, B&H.

Awesome. After browsing over the original thread and seeing the resolution, B&H can look forward to getting my business for sure. How I felt about the original situation was inconcequential. What B&H did made future customers like me look at them in a really positive light.

I'm sorry that you're getting slaughtered from the other other thread. Regardless, B&H is a legit and amazing place to shop from (:

he got slaughtered because of his attitude of entitlement. The company was willing to take the product back, but that wasnt good enough. Now they went above and beyond to make the whiny customer happy. B&H is great!

glad to see you did the right thing and posted a new thread. glad everyone ended up happy in the end. why isnt there a rep feature on this forum like there are in most others? situations like this deserve a click on the +rep button.

Actually, I do not care if I am "slaughtered" or not. Yes, I do have a feeling of entitlement. I am dealing with a business. I am the Customer. I am this business' lifeline. Without me they will have none. And that's why many stores have the price protection guarantee, matching prices, etc. I would like to believe that B&H matched the prices for everyone because I raised the stink, and now this price is available for everyone.

We live in a real world. I will lose my livelihood if I do not make my customers happy, whoever and whatever they are. B&H know this. And they know that I will go back to them for my next lens and camera.

In any way, it was fun.

Classy of you to post the positive outcome. Golf clap.

But now you know why so many people spend all of their money with them.

So, do you like the new body? With a price like that, I thought about grabbing one for the video.

Thanks.

I cannot give my opinion yet, I spent just a few hours with the 60D, still reading the manual. Still, comparing the picture quality - IQ, sharpness, colors - with the same lenses, it beats my XSi (450D) hands down. Have not tried video yet.

I'm thinking they matched their own price drop to $849 and not BB's. Regardless, glad you got a positive outcome out of this. BH has always treated me very well.
