Don't drive over your tripod

I've been away working on a motorsport event this last weekend.

Had the camera set up on the tripod and was triggering it by wireless remote. All was gong well:

Seriously though, look into quoting parts replacement. You never know if it may be repairable with just replacing the legs if everything else works. Could be cheaper than buying new.

Having had a look at it this morning, you make a valid point - I only need 2 new leg assemblies (the broken bit is part of the leg).

As a bit of extra interest, this is the kind of image I was capturing off the tripod:

AHHH I winced when I saw the damage. Phantom pains!!!

Better that they were only tripod legs and not someone's legs.

Just read your other thread re damage and I went and admitted to reversing over my tripod! Had to come here to see how it was damaged , same thing.

Ok , you don't leave your tripod propped against your car wheels and I won't unpack my car and place my tripod , in black bag on dark grass behind my car.

I say you just have to laugh. Anytime you run over something and it's not a person that's a good day.

I must have driven over my tripod much more carefully.
15 or so years later it still has an obvious reminder of a rough childhood:

Gotta agree, the handheld panning shot is much better than the tripod shot

I've sat on a ND filter I put in my back pocket! hahaha

Don't knock it. It may not be the best out there but this is the same combo I've been using for 3 years. Has done me pretty good. 'cept I lost the rubber feet in some mud loooooooooog ago! haha
