Yes, I'd call it a Super Rebel. And I'd call the 7D a Super Duper Rebel, and the 1D MkIV a Super-Duper Mega-Scooper Rebel. Well, I would if I were a total and utter moron who thought what one calls a camera was in any way important.

It fits my hands and does what I need it to do. I have seen this subject beat to death from the begining, and I could care less what you camera wizards want to call the 60D. I bought it. I like it. , And it does what I need it to do. Maybe all you camera wizards should go find another model to pick on. This ones been done to death. Bottom line is, it is one tool in a photographer's tool kit (for lack of a better word). Camera body, lens, flash, tripod, etc. make up the kit. It is what the person using the kit produces that matters, not what is in the kit. I have friends that use Rebels and produce photos that blow me away. On the other hand I have friends with XD series, and I don't look twice at their photos. The point is, use the tools that work best for you and don't worry about what gear heads call your camera.

The twin dial controls, better grip and bigger viewfinder will delight stills shooters while the articulated screen and movie control will please would-be videographers. http://www.dpreview.com …ws/canoneos60D/page20.asp I never felt that way about the 50D and though they feel different I thought they were in another class than the rebels.

Was the 50D ever a Rebel? So why do you think the 60D is!!!. fiftyD wrote in post #12425935 ![]() I agree,IMO the 60D is just a rebel on steroids.

They seem to live to bash. Maybe some of the 60D camera wizards, bashers, and overall Nasa trained photography scientists should just go and take some photos. LOL relax, I'm not a "60D" basher",it was just my opinion,I think much of that opinion is based on the smaller body on the 60D.it feels more like my old t1i when I hold one.

The T1i, XSi, T3 and XS shouldn't even be considered. Now compared to the T2i and T3i, the 60D may seem like an overpriced Rebel. I think Canon has done a disservice to their line by making the higher end Rebels so feature rich and taking some of the features away from the 60D. The XXD and Rebel line has been muddled together. Whether or not this was done to sell more 7D's is anyone's guess. 7D - Σ30 - EFS 15-85 - EF 100-400L - 430EX II
