hey all

I saw some teacher and student editions of the Adobe CS5.5 software for sale on Amazon.

Do I need to verify that student or faculty status when buying through Amazon? I was going to get my friend (teacher) to buy me a copy, but if they don't check, I'll just pick it up myself.

Thanks!

Last time I checked, the creative suite CS 5 required you to submit proof of full-time (12 units or more) enrollment at a qualifying university, community college, or high school. Also, you can only purchase and register under the same name a limited number of adobe student products.

Elementary school (including Kindergarten) with any form of school document with date within preceding 6 months of registration is acceptable as well

Acceptable documents (only one is required) in general terms are:
* school photo id
* transcript
* letter from the school secretary/principal
* schoolwork

Believe it or not, homeschooled students are eligible too, as long as necessary home schooling documentation can be provided.

The software will be registered in the minor's name, but a parent/guardian will need to complete the registration process for the minor. I could be wrong, but it seems Adobe defines minor as 13 years and under. Over 13 years and the kids can complete the registration process themselves.
