Nice looking shot...the foreground leaves give it a nice lead-in with a bit of color.

One of my first-ever "flowing" waterfall shots - taken after dark, 30 seconds, moonlight only with my old XSi with kit lens. This was a small falls along a trail from the parking lot of Linville Falls Campground in North Carolina.

This is Douglas Falls in West Virginia not far from Elkins, WV. Taken with the 40D with a Tamron 10-24mm.

Love the composition on this one, but I feel like the WB is a touch warm for my tastes - any chance you have a cooler version?

How 'bout that? I know I have a tendency to go a little warm on a lot of my shots... don't know why...

And I tend to go the other way - I tend to go a bit cooler on most of my shots so it could be nothing more than a matter of preference. Both versions are great shots.

Also partially to blame is that I live in a place where the rocks just aren't red. 99% of the time, they are cooler colors - blacks, blues, whites, etc. Seeing red rocks and water almost instantly sets off my internal white balance alarm.

But even after paying attention to the fact that the rocks and water are supposed to be red, my eyes like your cooler edit much better.

Thanks for indulging me!

Do frozen falls count?

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.
