This Peacock was flying around the local urban area, landing on house rooftops. It looked like a real effort for the bird :)

That's really a beautiful shot! Can't say I have ever seen a peacock in flight before!

Beautiful light and compositions in this shot Scuff. VERY unique capture, the warm light and rich color against the gray sky really pops.

I've seen them fly here but they mostly wing-hop in the trees and when they fly down it's usually just a glide. Tough to get 'em like you did. Great shootin'.

Thank you all for your kind comments.

His flying wasn't exactly gracefull, but as mentioned, it was worth waiting for him to fly around into a position where the evening sun lit him up against the stormy sky.

I have only ever seen these birds in the grounds of stately homes, strutting around begging for crumbs from the visitors. I was amazed to see him on the roof of a house opposite, and was sure he would fly away before I got out there with the camera.
