Thanks for your comment. No I didn't. The sky was just that way. Most of the time I was in the Sedona area the sky was cloudless. I was glad to have a few for this shot.

The other part of the shot. I don't know enough about panos to try and put these together. Don't think the scale is right between them either.

really is a great shot. I'd love to hear what you used in post- to adjust. love the colors you got.

I was just out in zion a week and a half ago and while I ended up with some shots I really like, none of them look this good.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

I use LR3 for all my adjustments. Because I shoot RAW I always sharpen on import. I know with my 5D2 and 24-70L that sharpen set to 55 looks good to me for most shots. Then I adjust Clarity and Vibrance to taste. Add about 10 on saturation. And bump contast and if needed brightness. I don't do much else as I find these adjustments work for me. In the end I think a lot is what you like in your photos. I hope I have answered your question.
I was in Zion about a month ago

totally does, thank you.

it seems everyone whose photographs stand out to me use lightroom. I'm going to have to look seriously into getting it.

I also shoot raw and do my editing in digital photo professional. then I've got photoshop elements if I want to go beyond that.

really love the greens and blues in your photographs.

again, great stuff. thanks for the additional insight.

The first shots I posted from Sedona were taken with my 5D2 and 24-70L. This shot is on the same trail but taken with my 60D and 18-135 kit lens. Thought you might like to see a 60D shot to compare. Thats the trail in the foreground. If you go to my Flickr account and look at any of the southwest sets the lower numbered images were taken with the 60D and 18-135 kit lens.
