I've been waiting FOREVER to get a Lee filter holder.. I have the filters and have to gaffer tape them onto the front of my lenses -___-

i'd say thats enough justification for necessity, thats probably not good for the filter!

I have been looking for the LEE filter holder too. Does anyone know what's up with the delays?
Obviously there is a demand that has been there for quite some time. I have seen olds posts here on POTN complaining about long delivery times or things not being available...

You guys could check 2filter.com
I added the holder to my cart and got all the way up to the payment screen without it telling me it was out of stock so you guys might have some success there. Not sure if it notifies a backorder once it's purchased or not.

Haha I get that a lot, but I have taken hundreds of pictures with that tripod and its predecessor (same tripod, but didn't have the removable plate) in all sorts of environments and never had an issue...with that said, I ALWAYS hold the strap or put it around my neck just to be sure, but I do that with all tripods (it's saved my ass at least once, when I knocked my own tripod in the dark while shooting star trails).

^Did that really need a watermark? No offense to you, as you probably just batch edited them and did your usual routine, but some people really go way overboard watermarking every single snapshot they take.

No offense taken, it is a fair question and a good observation.

That is exactly what happened., but not entirely by accident. My batch script, pulls the
files in, scales them to 'web' size, and watermarks them.

FYI: Back in Feb, I had posted 18 Miami International boat show pictures, of a particular
extreme hi-performance race boat band, on another board, and did not watermark them. I
had included a paragraph of text, thanking the sales guy, who I deal with,
for the unbelievable access he gave me to these boats. Another sales guy for the same
brand, saw my pictures, downloaded them, and then re-uploaded them to other threads,
where he was promoting himself. He did not alter the photos, but he did not include the
accompanying text. I asked him to give me photo credit, he declined. I asked him to
remove them, he declined. I asked the board admin to remove them, and after quite a bit
of discussion, they pointed to the terms and conditions, and board rules (fine print), felt
nothing wrong had occurred, and I was told I needed to stop 'harassing' the second sales
guy who posted them. That's when I made the batch script to watermark every photo that
gets sent to the web.

I would assume the US has similar copyright laws to most other countries, and that this board admin is completely wrong. Unless this board has some very far-reaching special rules where you basically give everyone and their cousins all rights to your pictures when posting there, in which case you should terminate your account and never set foot there again.
