Stitched Panorama

5d mark II

85L

This technique turns the "full frame" of the 35mm sensor in the 5D Mark II into a big medium format sensor, but even bigger than that! Still learning to master it. Shot about 12 pics of full 21MP RAW and stitched together..total size was crazy, over 150MB for the final picture! Used Autopanogiga to stitch

I've tried the brenzier method before but it nearly KO'd my old rig haha. I'm sure my new computer can handle it with ease now. Nice shot though.

I am trying to decide if I should sell my 18-55 is canon lens or keep it. Is it worth it to keep it?
Looking at my gear list you can see what I have. The reason I ask is because I have a co-worker that is interested in my XSI. So I was thinking I would either keep it or sell it and get say a 17-40 for a wider angle lens, not sure what to do. Just wondering if the 18-55 is any good on the 5d MarkII or is that an insult to my new baby LOL!!

Duh I forgot all about that LOL! Problem half solved....now to find the next "L" I want to get a landscape lens. Any suggestions? I was thinking about perhaps the 17-40.
I could still use it on the 50D tho.

Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L Tilt Shift Lens - very good for landscape and architecture as well.

If you don't often shoot wider than 24mm, your 24-105 should be fine for a landscape lens.

Thanks!

so far I'm LOVING it. Worth every penny.

The look of the light that it gives is great, and with the added diffusion sock it takes away some of the contrast of the light (3rd shot was with the sock on, first two were without)
