name a few brands that make good or better lighting products than elinchrom? just want to know what's out there...and is elinchrom the ultimate brand when it comes to lighting equipment?

I have 4 Whitelightning 1200s and I've had them for over 20 years which are great lights. I also have 2 Bowen Travelite 750s which are also great. If you need power nothing beats Speedotron 4803s.

If you have budget then yes. If you have no budget then no. :) As others mentioned before - Broncolor, Briese, Profoto, Hensel etc :)

Profoto, Broncolor, Hensel are probably the top 3, followed by companies such as Dynalite, Elinchrom, and Speedotron

Profoto is really nice... provided you're rich enough to afford them!

The cost of a good setup with them can go so much further with other equipment that I find it hard to justify switching from Dynalite to Profoto.
