Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS Mark II

No NYS tax on my out of state orders from B & H. At least one other business does charge the NYS tax. Be aware.

Update hubby came home and checked it out and the capacitor melted onto the compressor....the pins on the compressor have crap burnt onto them and from what I have read replacing the capacitor is easy....the unknowing part is whether or not the compressor will work or if it would happen again even if the pins could be sanded and cleaned. Not a chance I want to take...especially with a husband that works out of town.
We bought a bar fridge for now...only 248 at Home Depot. We wanted one for the rec room anyways. Going to buy a new fridge today grrrrr I wanted Silestone countertops but guess that is not happening anytime soon.

Why, Why, Why Must I look at this thread?!?! I cant justify this lens, yet I keep coming back for more, nice shots everyone...

Called up B&H and got a price adjustment. Yay! Thanks for the tip on that.

Just ordered this lens to replace my EF 200 F2.8L. Really looking forward to getting it.

Congrats ! Your gonna really like the versatility of this lens over your prime not to mention this stellar lens is like having several primes packaged in one body with sharp images at f2.8 across the entire range.

Not too many zoom lenses in the market can duplicate this beast !

Thanks Ron. I have only ever read amazing reports about this lens so I thought I may as well just bite the bullet. I love my 200 F2.8L but can't wait to get this 70-200

Chuffed to bits with this lens, first good ice rink shots I have ever managed

(but I must remember to change arms so as not to end up with one bicep bigger that the other )

Wow. That is some sloping-side-of-a-hill/mountain.

Agree with all ... this is a fantastic lens. Definitely sharp enough for my needs, and not as heavy as some make out.
