Love this last shot! Looks a little under exposed, but at the same time looks crisp and saturated.

Wanted to ask you... which body is your fav... 7D or 50D? Were these pics taken with the 7 or 50?

Thanks.

7D by far. I sold the 50D, actually. Autofocus and FPS are a huge plus.

Is that the Apache?

No. It's called the Rooivalk, it's a South African developed attack helicopter.

I'm having a huge battle between 5D II and 7D. 5D for full frame pic quality but poor fps and small lcd screen, 7D for great fps but small censor. Any thoughts on this? (Not the right thread for this topic, I know, but just quickly...:))

That all comes down to what you want to use it for. If you're going to do still life, portraits, landscapes, etc., 5D hands down. If you are going to shoot sports, airshows, and wildlife, 7D. I like to do a little of everything, so I chose the 7D to make sure I have the autofocus and FPS when I need it.

I take it this was hand held and very dark... what was your settings?

It's all smoke and mirrors, Giom! The exposure was actually 1/1250 at 5.6, with minus 2 stops exp compensation. It WAS quite dark, but not that dark! That was the effect I was after though. ISO was 800.

Interesting process. Would you mind posting the origional foto... I'm so curious as to how far you pushed the effect.

Great mood btw!

Wow man, these are great! How did you get so close to the subjects with this lens? It looks like macro photography... are they cropped?
