Wow William those shots are simply amazing and quite touching.

Thanks for the comment - as for pp nothing much to it really, birds are white so nothing much except take the background as unbright as it will go and then a thick black brush to obliterate the unwanted parts. Pretty random actually.

Those pics were taken over 2 sessions earlier last month, but there were so so many keepers just did not have the time to do much with them. The land birds I have already posted here over the last couple of pages, next was this "ballet", upcoming will be the water birds bits when they are done.

df and Dave, beautiful shots all.

loving the GSP pictures Dave .. uncanny as I also have 2 of them myself. One older (13 now) and one younger (3) as yours also seem to be :). I don't have many shots of them here with me at work, but here are some I have access to, again, taken with the 70-300 lens.

more reasons why I love using this lens, shots taken on a stroll around our local Heronry on Hengistbury Head in Dorset.

The Egret was displaying on the top of a tall Pine so has had to be cropped pretty hard, the Greenfinch Squabble was a grab shot and the Whitethroat was a bit of careful stalking

Great shots everyone.

I have a big day tomorrow as my 7D just arrived, the battery is charging, my 70-300L is already on and a 16g card inserted. I know what I want for img0001 so fingers crossed I find it. A clue.

Bees are such lovely looking little things but you made it out in a way that shows it is not really that cute and to be very wary of messing with it.
