Cancun beach. The Zeiss 21 is my favorite lens.

^^ Nice Shot !

After the 21ze took 1 dump on my pc it became my favorite prime ! :p

TBH it seems like the 21ze, Sigma 50/f1.4, & the 70-200MKII have become the three lenses i most use on the 5D MKII. Other then the 400/f5.6 prime and hopefully a 500/f4 IS in the future i dont know why im keeping my other glass.

Stupid on my part i guess !

You know, I sit there under the shade with the GF and shoot a couple shots from time to time. I'd like it better if she'd let me post her shots; ehh, maybe someday.

YES! I do ... that lens has not left my Mark IV much at all.

However, must admit ... think the 100 F2 is going to be sold and funds moved to a 70-200 Mark II

Thank You,

I was considering the step-down as well, but was told it wouldn't work so saving money for Lee Stuff.

IMO i would definitely NOT purchase a step down ring period using the FF format. Julian will give you guys sound advice on this subject so shoot him a pm if he dont respond soon to your inquiries.

I had considered on getting the below but as of yet have not since i have received variable opinions from several different folks:

http://maxsaver.net …lar-Polarizer-Filter.aspx (external link)

http://maxsaver.net …izing-Digital-Filter.aspx (external link)

Seems to me if your shooting landscapes at f8.0 the above 82mm CPL`s should work fine without any vignetting even on the 5D MKII but IMO its best to ask direct users first and visually see some examples.

Regards, Ron ;)

Hi Joe,

Is this the same lens you purchase with the 100 recently?
I remember begging from you to save the 21 for me.;)

Yes sir lol I bought them both and they're both great. I'm torn because I need autofocus at 100mm for moving objects. MF is tough at 100mm with people!

Joe, you might consider the Canon 100L/f2.8 IS macro for around 1K and pocket some spare change from the 100mp ze sell. Although i will never persuade or attempt to change a persons mind in regards to getting the versatile & stellar 70-200MKII. Like i have mentioned before i highly doubt i will ever sell the 21ze or the 70-200MKII but for the times you would like to haul around a lighter combo with AF & IS the Canon 100L/f2.8 IS macro is hard to beat on a FF or 1D body. At present im holding off on any new purchases since i am anticipating Canon announcing the 5D MKIII fairly soon.

Regards, ;)

I feel the same way and currently holding off doing anything because I want to give the 100 2 a six month go before switching and I'm already on two waiting list for a 1Ds Mark IV or it's equivalent when announced.

I actually use a slim CPL with this lens. With that said, I don't have any issues with vignetting. :)
