Your last few shots have been fantastic Rob, very impressive.

I'm going to finally bite the Mola / Beauty Dish bullet. I was just wondering if Chimera Speed Ring for Elinchrom (Resin) is the right speedring I need?

i believe Jerry Kasey has just the ring insert pre drilled if you like or you can buy the chimera ring and remove the insert and drill it yourself, congrats on the mola

I'd love to buy it from Jerry, but shipping over here is a killer. So I'll just have to drill it myself.

The redwing (external link)or norman (external link) should work aswell.

Otherwise the Mola (external link) is a perfect fit has been out of stock for quite a while.

the redwing and norman do not move the strobe in as close as the chimera, the mola is a modified chimera ;)

Search for Brendan's thread about setting up his Mola Euro. There's some good detailed info in there about how to order the speedring directly from Chimera without the resin part. It's cheaper that way. Don't know what they'd charge to ship, but I'm sure you could talk to them and get them to only charge you actual shipping costs via USPS.

Sheldon i think Luke figures it's cheaper shipping if they include the ring with the dish in the same box rather than two different shippers to the same address ;)

http://www.digitarvike.fi/product_catalog.php?c=158 (external link) - Eli umbrellas for 24/25 Euros, set of two is 50 Euros. :)

I think also Lastolite had some umbrellas with 7mm shaft, but I'm not too sure about it.
