"Chinese Boy Sells Kidney For iPad2"

I have no idea if this is true. But if it is I think this has to be the stupidest thing I've ever seen. The boy isn't doing well either according to the article, seems the hospital wasn't qualified for organ transplants. This is just sad. I thought I'd seen some pretty insane Applemania on here. You guys are wannabes.

What an idiot... You don't sell parts of your body--they don't grow back.

Projecting whatever a chinese boy does on "you guys" is sad indeed.

This comment could easily be misread as racism, I'm sure that's not what you intended of course.

I agree, that kid is an idiot.

You must be on craigslist too much, i'd need a hasselblad at the very least. Preferably a H4D-50II, or cash. I'd probably sell the hassy anyways, so cash is always best.

Hmm, selling ones body parts... the worlds oldest profession :D When it comes down to it, this falls under the same umbrella. I'd give up an organ for a friend or family member, but anytime you have to put a price on it, that's beyond sad.

Usually though, she takes the parts with her when she leaves... ;)

Got to give the kid credit for knowing what he wanted and finding a way to get it. He'll go far, assuming he survives.

I can think of plenty of ways to make money that don't involve seppuku. Not only did he make a poor choice, he also followed through in such an absurdly poor manner that he's put himself at risk of infection. The hospital and medication costs to return to normal may go beyond the amount that he banked. At worst, he'll end up dead. If he doesn't make it, he'll be first in line for this years Darwin Award

Lol I was just kidding about the 1ds Mark III... I'd give my kidney for a lot less...:p

All jokes aside... I would never put a cash value on my body parts. Yes to help someone that needed it though.
