Sticking with my original as well. I use them for my SB-600 and they last a long while. I haven't used my flash in awhile and the last time I probably used it extensively was sometime end of last year. The battery has been sitting in the camera bag and started using last month and the batteries were still kicking. A month or two later and I'm still using it.

These newer batteries also have a shorter recycle life.

I like the look of the black ones. But $15 for 2 is too much.

I have soooooo many standard eneloops stockpiled that I don't need to pay 3x as much for 400 more mAh. Juice isn't an issue in my bag.

I do like the idea of cooler running ones for kids though.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

I'm not impressed. I'll continue to wait for the battery technological advancement where we'd have the power of Powerex 2700 and the original eneloop's LSD in a single cell. That would take quite awhile but worth waiting.

hopefully the price at the stores will be a little less on the pro, amazon has the normal ones for $10 when they are $15 list.... I still wouldn't likely pay the extra though.

And the cooler running 'plus' ones look like cool technology, just nothing I need for a flash

Looks like a way for them to soak up some profits without any development costs to me.
