Sold my 24-70mm 2.8L for this lens yesterday. So glad I did. I used the 24-70mm 10% of the time, and when I did, it was at 70mm.

But hot damn, the depth of field is thin at 1.8 when framing is tight. How do people shoot with 1.2?

took the 85mm out today... figured i should start playing with it... i usually use my 50mm 1.4 sigma

It isn't when you look at the full res pic. Plus given the distance to subject at f2 on a crop (to frame the pic) he may well have had nearly 2ft of dof to play with.

I'm regrettably selling this - although I absolutely love it. I just need to get some money for the holidays. I'll most likely be buying it back whenever I get enough cash though.

yup at about 23 feet from subject, had almost 2 feet @ f2.0. really need put this on a full frame... when the bank account recovers :)
