What are your thoughts on the lighting, she is very fair skinned. Her right hand bugs me but I was just happy she let me take her picture, most of the time she threatens bodily harm to my camera.

I think the overall lighting is fine but the colors appear off to me

What are you seeing, I did some pp but not much, does it look like a WB issue?

Thanks
Tim

I know my monitor is not perfect, but it does seem a little on the red/magenta side.

I'd crop in just a little from the top to remove the blown sky. Might even bump the exposure to brighten her up a little. It will blow out the background (or get close to it), but your wife is the subject, so the exposure on her is more critical than on the background.

Yes I agree, the WB is off, the skin is on the magenta side, is a nice capture of your lovely wife

What others have said regarding the WB; perhaps add some fill light in PP to brighten the foreground which is the center of focus.

Here is a different crop with some WB correction and fill light added and a different crop no blown sky.

I think you got your saturation bumped a bit high, overall.

This is all natural no flash just a huge gobo between her and the sun. Shen had just been in a tanning bed before we went out. No matter what I do she has the purplish red areas

Do a lasso tool around her teeth, do a hue and saturation adjustment, set to yellow and desat the teeth. Something in the processing has made them overly yellow.

I learnt along time ago to refer to her as 'my wife' and not 'the wife' :)
