Used them to try out a 15-85mm for a vacation last year. The process was simple and painfree -- would absolutely use them again.

ive only used lensrentals.com, and my experiences have been good.

i have heard good feedback on borrowlenses.com, but i have not used them personally. (ignore the slanderous post regarding borrowlenses in the marketwatch section)

also, some local camera shops will rent lenses. i know that calumet photo rents lenses. but you would have to check into that at the local camera shops in your area.

From what I understand, lensrentals.com is about the best for rentals.

If you have a Calumet nearby I really like them for rentals. They have been nothing but stellar everytime I have rented from them.

Paul @ Lensrentals.com is the best. They test every lens to insure they are working correctly, and ship them fast. The whole process is top notch IMHO. Ive used them a bunch and have never had a problem.

+5 for LensRentals.com. They took good care of me when I rented a lens for 6 weeks earlier this year. :)

I've rented some lenses from lensrentals.com. They spell out every part of the process very well on their site.

www.lensprotogo.com (external link) is awesome. I rented from them for my vacation to Costa Rica last night and they were so great and helpful. I actually work in the town they are based so was able to pick up and drop off locally, however I know from people who have rented them that the lenses are packaged excellently and they all come in pelican cases as well. The prices they have on their website include round-trip shipping. The only add-ons are the protection plan.

Correct me if I am wrong but Adorama requires a full deposit of the cost of the lens. They only accept the deposit in the form of credit cards.

Ive rented from lensrentals.com twice and will do so again. Excellent guys to work with both times and I like their system of not making the full deposit and such.
