This one works best for me of this "momma bird" series, as in a couple of the others the strain of magnification/sharpening or something is starting to show, and there is some smearing and artifacting. This looks really sharp and clean on my monitor... I drove my scooter way up in the mountains and then didn't find much to shoot. Came all the way home and realized I'd left a bag with two lenses in it at an outdoor snack place and had to go all the way back. One nice thing about living in Asia, I didn't have to worry too much that anyone would take it

When I first bought it I liked it but, I really didn't know any better. Some will say it is the worst lens Canon makes. If I can dig up some pics with it I will post them. Dan

I agree that cheap doesn't always have to mean crummy take the nifty fifty I think it takes extraordinary pictures yet is mostly cheap plastic and around $100....Go Figure. Dan
