Mac ????

Do you and if you do wich one do you recomend for virus and spy ware protection for your Mac?

I don't bother.

Why? Are you sharing files with windows users? There are several options such as iantivirus and a couple of others. The latest Mac OSX update has a security update, with a library that updates daily and warns you of anything. But there aren't any viruses at present for Mac OSX just a couple of trojans that you have to give permission to install, or through using dodgy downloaded software.

The nice thing about this solution is that it is low cost and supports both Mac and PC.

I dont want to start a "Macs dont get viruses" thread, but really no need to get any protection and its purely a waste of money. Have been using Macs for over 8 years now and never had any problems related to this.

If the computer is plugged into the Internet, the system is vulnerable, regardless of OS. That said, I use Intego Internet Security...as they have been doing OS X AntiVirus/Internet Security for quite a while.

I've had Macs for 22 years. Never had any protection. Don't need it. But if you exchange files with PC users, then run some virus detection software to protect them.

I have been a mac user for many years now and have had no problem to date....
The only reason i biught this up was that i was advised by a mate who is quite the IT dude that Macs are also vulnerable in this day and age....
However mates get it wrong sometimes...

I have iMac and Windows Laptop and NEVER once had any virus issue for the last 5 years.
Just DON'T download illegal apps and movies. You will do fine.

I've been using Norton AntiVirus for a number of years, more than I care to remember:o I also use discretion and common sense as has been suggested above. I've never had a virus warning over the years, but I feel safer having it installed.
