For direct mode. Also a price drop to $99 for the X2 Pro card.

Sweet! I was looking to purchase an Eye-Fi card as well as a portable router at the end of this week. This saves me about $100 and takes an additional piece of hardware out of play.

That is indeed good news!
I'm already using the Eye-Fi X2 Pro in my 5d2 works like a charm :)
Can't wait to play around with their iPhone/iPad/Android apps!

I was under the impression none of the adapters worked with the 7D or 5DC/5D2.

They still (after many attempts ) do not make a CF card, after many post to there web site all they will do is direct you to a forum on CF cards. They refuse to say if and when they will ever make a CF card.

The CF adapter is officially not supported by eye-fi. And the way the CF adapter is constructed it can block some Wifi signal, that's why i've replaced the metal covers with plastic ones.
That gave me perfect great speed upgrade!
You will need a specific adapter, as far as i know only a few of these adapters will work.
I'll come back with the product details, don't know the model no. from the top of my head :)

[edit > I use the Adapter CF II to SDHC, SDXC from the brand Delock model no. 61796
Please note that Delock offers 2 different CF adapters, only the 61796 works!

Since eye-fi doesn't support these conversions, use at your own risk!

This company has completely fallen behind. No CF cards. 8gb max. Eventually another company is going to step in with a similar offering--too many glaring product holes.
