Glad you posted this AFTER I sold my used one for that price, but not a bad deal (too bad the 55-250 doesn't seem to be found anywhere anymore)

thanks for the link! Too bad the 75-300 looks like a crappy lens and the 55-250 is OOS. :(

Oh wait - I think your inventory checker for the 55-250 is wrong (per slick deals).

Here's the correct one! I'll be stopping at Target today - have been pondering a longer lens for kids sports.

I actually just realized the DPCI number is wrong. The ending number should be 35, not 36. I am correcting this now.

//edit//

I meant, the last 2 digits of the DPCI number should be 36 (thirty six) rather than 35..

New deal on SlickDeals is to PM Targets price at Staples and use $25 or $30 off coupon.

Also, if you have a capital one card, you can save an additional 5% when you use it to purchase it at the Staples store after the price match to Target. You'll need to log onto your account, click on "more rewards", search for Staples and sign up.

I picked one up at Target tonight too. I figure that if I don't use it much that I won't lose much, if anything in the resale market :) I'll probably only use it at the Zoo and in outdoor situations where lighting is pretty good, so I'm sure that I'll end up keeping it for a while anyways.
