Every now and again I take out my EF-S 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 non-IS lens with the macro half of an old Merkury Optics combined macro/wide-angle lens screwed onto the filter thread. Considering how cheap-and-cheerful this combination is, the results often surprise me.
