Hello

I've recently entered a photo competition.

The theme was "Red"

I don't expect to win but I'd like to get some feed back

Thanks

One i have to keep looking at to see what feels just "off" to me.....I like the placement, I think its the incomplete petals at the lower that spoil it for me.but I like the concept.

i think its a great photo, if i was being really picky i would have moved the flower a very small fraction to the left and maybe angled the stem slightly more to the left.

Something missing on the left, like an add or fonts. Nice but incomplete for me.

I love the idea, love the lighting and the shadows. Agree that the flower is too far off to the right.
good luck in your contest. let us know how you make out.

I like the red and the contrast with green. Like the others, "something" is just not quite there. However, I am not sue what the "something" is.

I think there is a bit too much empty space to the left. I don't know if I would have moved the stem that direction a little more or framed the flower to the right more or what, but I think it is the empty space that leaves a little something to be desired. I am curious what it would look like if you cropped it to just the flower.

I like it. I think the flower would have been even better with all petals in shot, but it may be what makes it interesting.

I like how the flower has a lonely look to it

Very sharp and nice color. I would have cropped to show less space on the left or show more of the flower.

Whilst I don't dislike it, there just seems a slight imbalance to the composition.

Shame about the competition but I still feel there is more mileage in this set up especially if you can squeeze the whole of the bloom into the frame.
