hi

im planning to purchase a lens on FM. they have a ranking tool rather than feedback. is it safe to assume these are legit? are there lots of cases of scams or is it about the same as potn? i know nothing is 100percent but just looking for some reassurance possibly. first time dealing with FM. this seller has a great eval, but only 5 reviews

Fred has built a pretty awesome rating system. With the seller's 5 reviews, you can click on the green box and see who sent the reviews. If it's 5 people with no feedback, then I'd worry. If it's 5 people with a bunch of feedback themselves, then you're probably good to go.

I have purchased a few items over there after feeling comfortable with the sellers feedback.

Why don't you ask this question at FM? They would be better able to tell you no?

I have bought and sold several items on FM. We all start at 0, you just have to ask questions until you feel comfortable.

You can always ask if they have other references/feedback.

I have 70 feedback on FM, it's my favorite place to buy/sell! Just like anything, it's not perfect, make sure you take the same precautions as you would with eBay.

This is the way to go.

It isn't safe to assume that anything is legit, but for my money the FM system is way, way more valuable that the "positive feedback only" system here.

This is not an FM information board. Ask them over there.
