Hello, I've been looking around at flashes lately, and was heavily considering the 430ex, however a guy I know is selling his sigma ef530, I'm having a hard time finding reviews on this flash, and would like to know if anyone has used it and what they think of it, or just sigma flashes in general.
Thanks!

I love my 530 Super, so much so that I sold off my 430ex to fund another lens :) Never had a problem with it. The only thing is that the build doesn't seem as solid as the Canon unit.

My experience with the 530 Super is jusk like their lenses. QC is iffy. My first one died the night before an important event. Took Sigma 1 month to fix and return it. Then it died again within 48 hours and it took them a month to replace it.
The replacement consistanly under exposed by 2/3 to -1 EV.

So like their lenses, it is a gamble.

I would recommend the Metz if you want a third-party flashes.
